The city council there backed off a plan to charge a growers fee after residents complained. Protesters spoke out at last night's Muskogee City Council meeting.

The council had been considering a $50 fee for those wanting to grow their own medical marijuana. After hearing from citizens, the council eliminated that portion of the city ordinance.
