An old friend is back this morning… albeit with a face lift. Riverside Drive reopened this morning to traffic. The roadway had been closed during the first phase construction of the Gathering Place.
City engineer Paul Zachary says the new roadway will be much safer. The roadway will feature new, wider medians. It has also been elevated to reduce flooding issues.
New Land bridges are in place to connect the Gathering Place with the River Parks.
