Tulsa, Oklahoma – (Please note: This show originally aired earlier this year.) On this edition of our show, we speak with Joanne Davis and Jamie Rhudy, both members of the faculty in the Department of Psychology at the University of Tulsa. Davis and Rhudy are currently collaborating on important research here at TU vis a vis the understanding and treatment of trauma-related nightmares. In this regard, Davis oversees TU's Trauma Research Center --- and she's also the author of "Treating Post Trauma Nightmares: A Cognitive Behavioral Approach." Rhudy, in turn, is focused on how nightmares connect with the ways in which the brain processes emotion and pain. You can learn more about these scientists --- and about the interesting work being done in their labs --- at these two web pages: [http://www.utulsa.edu/academics/colleges/Henry-Kendall-College-of-Arts-and-Sciences/Departments-and-Schools/Department-of-Psychology/Our-Faculty-and-Staff/D/Joanne-Davis.aspx] and [http://www.utulsa.edu/academics/colleges/Henry-Kendall-College-of-Arts-and-Sciences/Departments-and-Schools/Department-of-Psychology/Our-Faculty-and-Staff/R/Jamie-Rhudy.aspx].
