Oklahoma City, OK – OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A U.S. Census Bureau report shows nearly 24 percent of Oklahoma families with children younger than 18 received some type of public assistance in 2008.
Public assistance includes food stamps and food stamp use in Oklahoma was at a record high of nearly 492,000 in June.
