Tulsa, OK – Mayor Bartlett is spending the weekend reviewing budget cutting proposals submitted by his department heads. The city cannot spend money it does not have and with sales tax revenue sinking each month, the city must cut spending. Little is left but personnel.

Information, obtained by KWGS, indicates the police department could lose well over 100 officers. The Tulsa Fire Department would also take huge cuts. The public works department, one of the city's largest, could get by with simply cutting all currently open positions in the department.

Other quality of life departments, like parks and recreation, would also face huge cuts. Some city recreation centers could be forced to close.
