Oklahoma City, OK – Fallin taps former lawmaker for ag post

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Gov.-elect Mary Fallin has announced former lawmaker and Farm Service Agency official Jim Reese will serve as secretary of agriculture in Fallin's administration.

The Nardin Republican served 14 years in the Oklahoma House before he was named executive director of the Oklahoma Farm Service Agency. He most recently served as a policy adviser to House Speaker Chris Benge, and has owned and operated Jim Reese Farms since 1978.
