Fire Danger resurfaces in Oklahoma

By Sarah Rayner

Norman, OK – The danger of wildfire is rising once again in western Oklahoma. The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag fire warning for Cimarron, Texas, and Beaver counties in the Oklahoma panhandle.
Dry conditions and wind gusts of 20 to 30 miles per hour are expected in western Oklahoma which raises the possibility of wildfire in the region, says the weather service.
Starting on Wednesday, the forecast for the state calls for highs in the 80s and low 90s with a slight chance for rain in the Panhandle.
