Oklahoma City, OK – Fallin to lift burn ban in 14 Okla. counties

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Gov. Mary Fallin says she'll lift a burn ban on 14 Oklahoma counties.

The Oklahoman reports that Fallin says she'll lift the bans on Tuesday after first allowing counties extra time to evaluate conditions.

Parts of the state have been under a burn ban since July 14. Forty-five counties in western and southern Oklahoma had been under burn bans as drought conditions worsened through the summer.

In early August, the ban extended to the entire state.
