TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Light snow in from a large winter storm affecting the Midwest fell across northern Oklahoma, creating hazardous travel conditions in places.
The National Weather Service says snow moved from the state's northeast Sunday afternoon.
State highway officials say the roads are mainly wet in northeast Oklahoma, though there are some slick spots that are being treated with sand and salt. In the panhandle and in northwest Oklahoma, isolated slick spots were being reported on elevated surfaces. But officials say conditions are improving.
The weather service says Sunday snowfall was concentrated mainly north Interstate 44.
The system is bringing stiff breezes, and forecasters say winds of between 30 and 35 miles per hour will be common.
