Tulsans March for Trayvon Martin

Facebook

Hundreds of Tulsans turn out for a silent march calling for justice for Trayvon Martin. The downtown event took place after the city council meeting where the council was asked to adopt a resolution calling for a Justice Department review into any civil rights violations against Martin.

The marchers, mostly silent and with no signs, walked to the Greenwood District from City Hall.

They were hoodies as did Martin when he was shot and killed in Florida. Another event is planned tomorrow in front of the Federal Court House, downtown. It is set for noon.
