OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Former first lady Barbara Bush will connect with students affected by a deadly May tornado via a Skype visit on Monday.

Bush is connecting with the students at Briarwood Elementary School as part of her foundation's recognition of International Literacy Day. Bush is expected to talk about the value of learning and rebuilding lives.

Plaza Towers and Briarwood elementary schools were razed down to the concrete slabs following the tornado. Briarwood students are being temporarily housed at Emmanus Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.
