MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — State Insurance Commissioner John Doak has announced that he is seeking re-election for a second term in 2014.

The Republican made the announcement Thursday in Muskogee, following his annual tour of Oklahoma's 77 counties.

Doak says Oklahomans deserve an insurance commissioner who promotes fiscally conservative government policies. Doak notes that he has opposed the new federal health care law.

Doak was first elected Oklahoma's insurance commissioner in 2010. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma and lives in Tulsa with his wife and two children.
