A Tulsa police officer who sued after being ordered to work an event at a mosque won't have his case heard by the U.S. Supreme Court.

A lawyer for Tulsa Police Captain Paul Fields says justices refused to take up the case yesterday.

Fields sued the city in 2011 after he was punished for not attending, and not sending any subordinates, to a law-enforcement appreciation event at a mosque.
