State Drug Bureau to Take On Mexican Meth

OSBN

The number of methamphetamine labs is dropping in Oklahoma, but not the state’s addiction to meth. The home-lab is being replaced by imported Mexican meth. The State Narcotics Bureau’s Mark Woodward says the agency will hold seminars across the state on the problem.

MARK WOODWARD: "We are going to put on training for law enforcement for meth labs and it will also allow us to put on training interdiction. "

While the Mexican meth is not as pure as home-made, it is often cheaper.

MARK WOODWARD: "We are going to do schools on how to recognize and shut down the pipeline of meth coming in from Mexico."

The agency recieved a grant to pay for the seminars.
