Off-Duty Washington County Deputy Arrested for DUI

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) — An off-duty Washington County deputy has been arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sheriff Rick Silver said Deputy William Wade was arrested following a non-injury collision about 11:45 p.m. Friday.

Silver says authorities responding to two non-injury collisions on Highway 75 found Wade was driving one of the vehicles and was given a field sobriety test. Silver says Wade was later given a blood test and found to have a blood-alcohol content of .18 — more than double the legal limit of .08.

Wade is now on administrative leave with a court appearance scheduled for Monday.
