The bitter cold may have been responsible for a series of overnight fires in the area:
- One blaze heavily damaged a home near 71st and South Yale. The fire department got the call around 11:30 last night.
- A home, just northwest of Tulsa, was destroyed by fire last night. The fire was near 53rd Street North just into Osage County.
- A barn near Sapulpa burned overnight. Animals inside were killed.
