Tornadoes Slice Through N.E. Oklahoma

Nancy Warick-Facebook

Rare August tornadoes appear in eastern Oklahoma. Residents in Oklahoma’s Amish Country are picking up after tornadoes sliced through yesterday afternoon.

Twisters caused damage between Chouteau and Inola. Barns and outbuilding mostly. Some homes lost some shingles. Another tornado was spotted near Mazie along Highway 69 in Mayes County.

The weather service will survey the damage today. In all, no injuries reported.
