Tulsa, OK – Mayor Kathy Taylor commissioned the project to preserve the history of the City of Tulsa in an exhibit that includes recorded interviews with mayors of Tulsa and a display of portraits and bio-graphical information of all 39 mayors, including Mayor-Elect Dewey Bartlett.

The photographs were previously framed and displayed in a conference room in the former City Hall building at the Civic Center Plaza. The library also will feature historic documents, such as Tulsa's first charter and the original plans for the Tulsa highway system.

Public viewing will be scheduled through the Mayor's office and students who visit City Hall on field trips will have an opportunity to learn more about these Tulsa leaders.

The Mayor's Library was paid for with a $16,000 grant from the Loebeck-Taylor Foundation.
