MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) — Authorities have seized more than 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine during a traffic stop in Muskogee County.
Sheriff Charles Pearson says the stop happened Thursday afternoon on Interstate 40 near Webbers Falls. The sheriff says the drugs have a street value of $1 million.
Authorities say a man was driving from Fort Worth, Texas, to Fort Smith, Ark. when he was pulled over in Muskogee County. Deputy Jeff Gragg says the county's drug dog discovered the methamphetamine in the car's trunk.
The man was booked on drug trafficking complaints.
The sheriff tells Tulsa television station KOTV that it's the biggest bust so far by the Muskogee City-County Drug Task Force.
