Tulsa Congressman to Host Town Hall Meeting

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Rep. Jim Bridenstine has announced he'll host a town hall meeting with voters next week in the Tulsa suburb of Broken Arrow.

Bridenstine, a first-term Republican from Tulsa, is slated to host the meeting May 2 at the Northeastern State University Broken Arrow campus.

A spokesman for the congressman says the meeting will be to discuss recent events in Washington and to answer the questions and concerns of attendees.

Bridenstine was elected to the House last November after defeating Democrat John Olson and independent Craig Allen. Bridenstine had upset five-term incumbent Republican Rep. John Sullivan in the primary to move onto the general election.

He represents the 1st District in northeastern Oklahoma, which includes the cities of Tulsa and Bartlesville.
