GRANITE, Okla. (AP) — Authorities are searching for an inmate who escaped from the Oklahoma State Reformatory in Granite.
The Greer County Sheriff's Office says 26-year-old Aaron Kelsey was discovered missing from the medium-security prison, which has a capacity of nearly 1,000 inmates.
No details about Kelsey's escape were immediately available Thursday morning. Kelsey was serving time on burglary and weapons-related convictions out of Bryan County. He was due for a parole hearing in July 2016.
Kelsey is described as a white man, standing 5 foot 10 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.
