TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Police have arrested two people in Tulsa in connection with the deaths of two people found in a Bristow motel room.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said a man and a woman, both 22, were arrested Thursday on two counts of first-degree murder. According to Bristow police, the bodies of 19-year-old Jake Allen Wright and 31-year-old Ruth Ann Rex were found in a room at the Carolynn Inn on March 29.
According to a medical examiner, Rex died of a gunshot wound to the neck and Wright died of an unspecified head wound.
The two suspects are being held at the Creek County Jail in Sapulpa.
