Drought Grows in Oklahoma

U.S. Drought Monitor Index

All of Oklahoma is now considered to be in a drought. Tulsa is one of the better spots in the state, listed in Moderate Drought.

State Climatologist Gary McManus says it is not good to be this dry during wild fire season. He says that could set the stage for large wild fires in the next few weeks.

Western Oklahoma has gone four months without significant rainfall.
