The ribbon is cut, officially opening a new Women’s Health Clinic in a troubled Tulsa neighborhood. The clinic will serve women in the area of 61st and South Peoria, where it’s been difficult for them to get help without having to travel miles away. Dr. Mitch Dunnick is with ‘In His Image Family Medicine’ which is helping provide services at the new clinic. He says they’re trying to help turn things around for those who live in the community, known as an area with a high poverty and high crime rate.
Health issues and family planning were two areas identified as high priorities by the 61st and Peoria task force.
