On the Next All This Jazz -- In Memoriam: Jazz Greats Who Died in 2018

Listen for the next All This Jazz, starting at 9pm on Saturday the 5th, right here on KWGS-FM / Public Radio Tulsa.

For our first show of the new year, our third-hour theme (running from 11 o'clock to midnight) will be an appreciative look back (and listen back) to Jazz Greats Who Died in 2018. Thus we’ll dig music by Cecil Taylor, Sonny Fortune, Roy Hargrove (shown here), Nancy Wilson, Bob Dorough, and more. And elsewhere in our program, we’ll hear from the likes of Allison Miller, Jim McNeeley, Catherine Russell, Nels Cline, and Miles Davis (to name but a few). Join us!

Every Saturday night, both online and over the air, ATJ delivers three hours of recent and classic jazz -- across a wide range of styles -- from 9 o'clock till midnight. From Paul Desmond to Paul Motian, Duke Ellington to Duke Jordan, and Chris Connor to Kris Davis, All This Jazz is delighted by modern (and post-modern!) jazz in its many forms, and we love sharing the same with our listeners.

Also, please note that ATJ playlist information can be found here, at the bottom of the page...and that we maintain a Facebook page for our show. Thank you.

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
