On the Next Edition of the Warm and Toasty Radio Show Known as All This Jazz, It's a "Winter" Theme

Please join us Saturday the 10th at 10pm, right here on Public Radio 89.5, for another installment of All This Jazz (with an online "live stream" of the show at PublicRadioTulsa.org).

Each week, ATJ spins modern jazz, both recent and classic, across a range of styles. We also always offer, every Sunday night, a 7pm re-airing of the show on Jazz 89.5-2, which is our station's all-jazz HD Radio channel.

It's two solid hours of music -- uniformly excellent music, in fact, which you'll find nowhere else on Tulsa radio -- and in the second half of ATJ, for every blessed broadcast, we offer a theme. This time around -- "brrrrr, man!" -- that theme will be Winter. And thus we'll hear Art Pepper's "Winter Moon," Benny Goodman and Peggy Lee's "Winter Weather," the Modern Jazz Quartet's "Winter Tale," and so forth. And in the first half of the program, we'll dig tracks by Eddie Henderson, Christine Jensen, and many more.

Tune in, good people, and keep warm!

(Also, you can access the latest playlist info for All This Jazz at this link, and can visit our show's Facebook page hereabouts. Cheers.)

Scott Gregory started working at Public Radio Tulsa in 2006; he started listening to public radio circa 1980, when he and NPR both marked their tenth birthdays (although only one of them commemorated the occasion with a party at Skate World). Scott became this radio station's Operations Director in the summer of 2023; he also hosts and programs All This Jazz, which airs every Saturday night on Public Radio 89.5-1 from 9pm till midnight.
