Oologah, OK – Reward offered for info about cows shot in NE Okla.

OOLOGAH, Okla. (AP) The Humane Society of the United States is offering a reward to help find whoever used arrows to shoot cattle at ranches in northeastern Oklahoma.

Officials said Wednesday that a reward of up to $2,500 is in addition to a $1,000 reward being offered by the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association.

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office says eight head of cattle were shot with arrows at two ranches near Oologah early Tuesday. Five of the eight died.

Officials say the cows are worth between $15,000 and $19,000.

The Humane Society's Oklahoma state director says the organization hopes the reward will help in finding those responsible for the crime.
