With no sign that the state will come up with more money for education, the Tulsa Public Schools will look for additional ways to cut.

In addition to trimming 75-teaching positions, TPS operation chief Ben Stout says transportation to magnet schools could be trimmed.

He says nearly $700,000 could be saved by trimming 28-bus routes to magnet schools. Other changes could be made to athletics.

The district has lobbied lawmakers for more money, but so far nothing has happened on the state level.
