One person is dead following an afternoon fire near 5th and Yale. The blaze was reported mid-afternoon. The fire apparently started in a bedroom. When firefighters put out the blaze, they found the remains of a chared body. Neighbors say a woman lived there. The body has not been identified. Fire officials are looking for the cause. The Medicial Examiner will determine the cause of death.
