Former OU Football Quarterback Steve Davis is remembered for his smile. The 60-year-old was killed last week in a plane crash in Indiana. A Memorial service was held this afternoon at the First Baptist Church in downtown Tulsa.
Family, friends, team-mates and fans filled the church’s sanctuary. During the service Davis was remembered for his smile, his positive attitude and his love of OU sports. Davis led OU to national football championships in the 1970s.
Over at Jenks, a memorial service was going on at the same time for 58-year-old Tulsa businessman Wes Caves. Caves owned the plane that crashed.
