OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Oklahoma Board of Corrections has selected longtime Department of Corrections employee Edward Evans as interim director.
Department spokesman Jerry Massie says Evans was selected Friday during the board's meeting in McLoud. Massie says Evans will take over in August when current director Justin Jones takes leave in advance of his planned October 1st retirement.
Massie says Evans is currently an associate director at the department and has worked for the DOC since 19892.
