2nd Inmate Back in Custody in Adair County

Adair County

STILWELL, Okla. (AP) — Authorities say a man who escaped from the Adair County jail has turned himself in.

The Adair County Sheriff's Office says Carlos Locust turned himself in early Tuesday. Authorities say Locust and inmate Mark Pack overpowered a jailer and fled the facility at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Authorities say the jailer suffered minor injuries.

Pack was captured by sheriff's deputies a few hours after the escape.

Locust was serving a 30-year sentence on a manslaughter conviction, while Pack was awaiting trial on a charge of shooting at a police officer.
