Apartment Fire Makes Street Slick and People Homeless

TFD-Facebook

Tulsa Fire Fighters spent the overnight hours battling a 2-alarm apartment fire in frigid temperatures. The wind chill was below zero as fire crews battled a blaze at the 4100 Apartments near 41st and Riverside.

A family of four, including two children, had to be rescued from the flames. The fire left numerous people homeless. The Red Cross is assisting those displaced by the fire. Tulsa Transit provided a bus to help the victims stay out of the cold.

Water from the fire trucks and hoses drained on to 41st and Riverside, making the roadway very slick. Fire investigators are looking for the cause.
