Suspect Sought in Bank Robbery in Sand Springs

SAND SPRINGS, Okla. (AP) — Authorities in Sand Springs and the FBI are looking for a suspect in a bank robbery.

The Police Department says a branch of BancFirst in Sand Springs was held up at about 10:35 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities say the suspect entered the bank, quickly wrote a note stating that he had a weapon and demanded money. The suspect gave the note to a teller, who complied. He then fled the bank on foot.

The suspect is described as a white male, about five-feet, five-inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white baseball cap, sunglasses, a blue t-shirt, black pants and black shoes. He is also described as having a strawberry blond goatee or facial hair.
