One person is dead in a shooting involving an Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper. The incident took place just before ten this morning in the Nowata County town of Delaware.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Captain George Brown, on the scene told KWGS News, the initial call came in as a disturbance with an armed suspect. He says there was a short foot pursuit before the shooting took place.
The Trooper was uninjured.
A formal investigation is now underway. As of this writing, no names have been released.
