The Tulsa State Fair has been over for several months now, but final dollar totals reported this week show it made more money than any previous fair.

Fair Manager Amanda Blair said the total for 2014 was up several hundred thousand dollars from last year's $1.8 million.

"Our net was $2,127,485, and we've never had a net that's been over $2 million, so we're extremely pleased," Blair said.

The fair has now made money seven straight years, and it's made at least $1 million a year since 2010.

Blair said 2014 income was up in several areas.

"We saw a significant increase with the Disney on Ice show revenue as well as the carnival revenue, RV parking spaces, the concession revenue increased," Blair said.

It means there will be money to do more for future fairs.

"These nets enable our facility to continue to improve the facilities, the events that we can attract to our grounds and just provide a lot of the income, the cash flow income, that helps us support Expo Square throughout the year," Blair said.

The estimated attendance last year was 1.1 million, placing the Tulsa State Fair among the 15 largest in the country.
