The Oklahoma Highway Patrol will start cracking down on left lane road-hogs next week. A new law goes into effect on Wednesday that makes it illegal to travel in the left lane except to pass.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Dwight Durant says it will be enforced statewide, but says it is mostly for rural areas. He says often two vehicles traveling about the same speed will impede traffic on the interstate highways. He says that can cause road rage.
The fine, under the new law, is $225.
