Horror Scene to Become a Memorial Garden

Broken Arrow is moving forward with plans to convert a mass murder scene into a memorial garden. The old Bever property at Indian Springs is being turned into a park-like setting.

Last year, private donors from Broken Arrow and throughout the Tulsa metro area gave $50,000 to purchase the house, which has now been removed. City Councilor Mike Lester led the successful fundraising campaign to turn the property into a memorial park and garden, after the brutal killing of five Bever family members in July 2015.

Police arrested two brothers in connection with the crime. The notoriety of the murders had made the house a target of vandals and onlookers.
