Tulsa, Oklahoma – On our show today, we try to approach the subject of same-sex marriage in America with clarity, fairness, and accuracy. Our guide in this endeavor is the Rev. Dr. Welton Gaddy, national president of the Interfaith Alliance Foundation, who will be the keynote speaker at an event tonight (Thursday the 25th) at 7pm at Tulsa's Trinity Episcopal Church (at 5th and Cincinnati). This event is sponsored by the Tulsa Interfaith Alliance, and Dr. Gaddy's topic is "A Different Way of Talking about Same-Gender Marriage." In fact, in a paper that he's published only recently, Dr. Gaddy calls for a reasoned and respectful conversation on this subject --- a lowering of all our voices, as he puts it --- that takes note of the perspective of civil law as well as that of religious freedom. Dr. Gaddy is a Baptist pastor from Monroe, Louisiana. For more information on tonight's event, call 918-747-7777 or visit http://www.tia.dreamhosters.com.
