Tulsa, Oklahoma – On our show today, we hear from Dr. Joshua Muravchik. He addressed the Tulsa Committee on Foreign Relations last week on the topic of his latest book, which is called "The Next Founders: Voices of Democracy in the Middle East." This book offers profiles of all manner of liberal-minded reformers from Iraq, Iran, Syria, Egypt, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait --- each of whom has devoted his or her life's work to democratic reforms. Dr. Muravchik, a classic "Neo-Con" in the intellectual as well as political sense, has been a Resident Scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and is now a Foreign Policy Institute Fellow at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He's written many books and articles over the years, and continues to serve on the editorial boards of World Affairs, the Journal of International Security Affairs, and the Journal of Democracy. As we learn on today's program, he also attracted considerable attention in 2006 when he wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times entitled "Bomb Iran."
