Odyssey of the Mind STEM program informational meeting

Odyssey of the Mind STEM program informational meeting
Come learn about Odyssey of the Mind, the original STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education program established in 1978.
Informational meeting Tuesday, Sept. 9 6:30 p.m. at Jenks First Christian Church. The meeting is open to any parent/student/teacher in the Tulsa metro area.
Schools and organizations form teams of five to seven students in the fall. The students work developing a solution to their selected long-term problem, which varies from building mechanical devices such as spring-driven vehicles to engineering weight bearing balsa wood structures to giving their own interpretation of literary classics.
Odyssey aligns with state education standards, and teaches students creative problem solving, team work, thinking outside the box, and budgeting.
