Tulsa, OK – Police: Would-be robber killed in Tulsa store

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Tulsa police say an attempted robbery of a convenience store by two masked gunmen ended with a teenage would-be robber shot to death by the store clerk.

Police said Friday 14-year-old Qualynn Dabney was shot and killed about 10:45 p.m. Thursday by Zeba convenience store clerk Zahid Khan. The store is located in the 500 Block of East 56th Street North. It is directly across the street from a Tulsa Fire Station.

Police initially reported Dabney's age as 24.

Khan told officers that two masked men entered the store firing rifles and that he picked up his handgun and returned fire.

The second robber ran from the store.
