Claremore, OK – Claremore woman killed when hit by train

CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a Claremore woman was killed when she stepped into the path of a train in Rogers County.

Troopers say 29-year-old Carrie Sherry was killed about 3:45 p.m. Wednesday when she was hit by a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train on the tracks along Oklahoma 66 northeast of Claremore.

Troopers say witnesses told investigators that Sherry was sitting beside the track when she stood up and walked onto the track and stood in front of the oncoming train.
