Tulsa, OK – The jobless rate in the Tulsa metro area dropped to 5.6% in April. This marks the second month of declining unemployment. John Carpenter of the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission says this means that about 20,000 people in the area are unemployed. April's figures are down 1% from March's 6.6% unemployment.
