Tulsa, OK – Mayor Bartlett places his Chief of Staff and the Tulsa Fire Chief on administrative leave with pay. The two will remain on leave, with pay, while internal and external committees review allegations of influence peddling.
Questions surround actions by Chief of Staff Terry Simonson and Fire Chief Allen LaCroix. It center's around whether Simonson's son was given special treatment involving testing for the city's fire academy.
Mayor Bartlett says both committees are expected to begin work this week. He expects the report to be finished soon but has placed no time table on the committees.
