Cushing, OK – Small earthquake recorded in central Oklahoma
CUSHING, Okla. (AP) The U.S. Geological Survey says a small earthquake has been recorded in Payne County in central Oklahoma.
The survey says a 2.6-magnitude quake struck at 4:50 p.m. Thursday about five miles north of Cushing.
A Payne County sheriff's dispatcher said there were no reports of injuries or damage.
Geologists say earthquakes with magnitudes of 2.5 to 3.0 are generally the smallest felt by humans.
