Tulsa, OK –
Legislative leaders tell Tulsa business men and women that better times are ahead. At a Metro Chamber forum, House Speaker Kris Steele said with an improving revenue picture, cutbacks of the past few years might be avoided in 2012.
Senate President Pro Tem Brian Bingman agrees, but with a qualifier. He points out a lot of one-time funding sources were used this year that won't be available next year.
While 2012 will be basically a stand still budget from 2011, the legislative leaders say at least there shouldn't be the big cuts we saw in the last session.
