Tulsa, OK – The unemployment rate for the Tulsa Metropolitan Statistical Area drops during the month of November. According to figures released today, there are 28,147 people out of work in the MSA. That translates to 6.4% of the work force looking for employment.
The rate is down from 6.7% in October. John Carpenter with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission says part of the drop could be traced to added retail staff for the holidays.
A year ago, the Tulsa MSA rate was 7.5%.
