A 9 year-old boy is going to be okay after being hit by a pick-up truck on his way to school.
It happened in east Tulsa, about 7:30 this morning near the Disney Elementary School. The school is located on 25th street, just east of Garnett Road.
Tulsa Police Corporal Brian Collum investigated the crash. He says a white Nissan pick-up truck ran a neighborhood stop sign and hit the boy. The student was pulled under the truck. The driver stopped just for a moment and then sped away.
The boy was taken to the hospital with possibly a broken leg and some cuts and bruises. He is expected to make a full recovery.
