Delay Granted in Hearing for Good Friday Slaying Suspects

Tulsa County Jail

A preliminary hearing is rescheduled for two men accused of a murderous rampage on Good Friday in Tulsa. 33-year-old Alvin Watts and 19-year-old Jacob England are charged in connection with the shooting deaths of three people and the wounding of two others.

The district attorney’s office requested the delay while it reviews information from the state medical examiner’s office. The hearing will now be on Wednesday, July 18th in Tulsa District Court.

Watts and England are accused of going on a shooting spree in north Tulsa in the wee hours of April 6th. The victims were apparently selected at random. All of the victims were African American. The suspects are listed in booking documents as being white.
